Baby you're a firework...

We celebrated bonfire night at Bridgeside Lodge with fireworks, sparklers and music from Nat and Arthur. The mildness of the evening meant that many residents we able to join us in the garden for an impressive display of pyrotechnics, orchestrated by manager Fatma and carer Walé. Other residents and staff watched from the balconies, while neighbours in the flats across the water watched from their kitchen windows.

A recently arrived seafood takeaway boat on the canal provided a twinkly, almost Christmassy backdrop. Nat and Arthur played mellow instrumentals, including a jazzy reharmonisation of Twinkle Twinkle Little Star and finally working up to a rendition of Katy Perry's Firework.

We always enjoy marking specific dates in the calendar, any excuse for a party!
