Earth Day 2022

Updated: Mar 16

Musicians: Nat Keen (guitar) Barney Keen (guitar) Stewart Hughes (drums)

Every year on April 22, people around the world celebrate Earth Day to demonstrate support for environmental protection. First held on April 22, 1970, it now includes a wide range of events including 1 billion people in more than 193 countries.

Mother nature was on our side and we were able to take to the garden for a morning of Latin grooves and residents' favourites from Nat, Barney and Stewart of Big Ben Jorge.

In the days leading up to the event, Bridgeside Lodge activities coordinator Yvette asked residents for some words on the Earth. Residents expressed their concerns about climate change and the need for action. Here's resident JC's contribution, put to a driving groove by the band.

A slight departure from Brazil to Liverpool for GH's beloved Beatles...

...then to Jamaica for SR.
